The Great Wave of Central Florida - Giclée Print
Inspired by Katsushika Hokusai’s The Great Wave Off Kanagawa, I endeavored to relay a prophetic tale of America’s near future in the twilight captured in a photo by A. Malakoff in Longboat Key, Florida. Using PB27, Prussian Blue – the same blue in Hokusai’s prescient image of shifting Edo period Japanese society – I set the viewer at eye level with the setting sun and proceeded to block-in the sky with a sense of urgency. The stretched sensation of being pulled into the horizon while a crashing wave pushes the viewer back is centered on the realization that another wave is coming. Will you rise against the tide or be washed out in a barrel of odds and ends?

Do prints come watermarked or framed?
No. All prints come with the artist's signature as in the original painting and without the Unidos Art watermark. All prints come frame ready, however Unidos Art does not offer framing for prints at this time.
What kind of paper do you print on?
Hahnemühle William Turner photo rag 190-310 gsm, 100% cotton.
Do canvas prints come stretched and stapled?
Yes. All canvas prints are printed on Reflections Solvent Canvas and stretched on 3/4-inch deep Richeson Art Stretchers. Each canvas print comes with a hanging wire attached for immediate wall hanging.
