Inspired by natural marble formations, created from intensely heated limestone shifting, pulling & churning to form striations, Marbled Metals takes this phenomena a step further by imagining molten metal instead of rock. The gold and bronze stripes are entwined with black and white cells that mimic the dissolution and gaseous escape of carbon dioxide. The shimmering metallic pigments trick the eye into imagining movement in the striations as if they were still swirling.
