Bubble Brew - Original Painting

Materials: Fluid acrylic pour on stretched cotton canvas

Like swamp water churning, Bubble Brew imagines the violent swirling of being hit by waves and swept underneath. My main vehicle to represent this constant movement was the creation of many cells, in order to trick the eye into imagining small swells amongst the bubbles. By adding silicone to each individual color I was able to achieve the high density of cells. This piece encourages you to seek light amongst the endless churning chops.
